Just Another Mascot Horror
A downloadable modern masterpeice for Windows
this is LITERALLY the mascot horror game of all time.
The concept? A satire of a genre that has an overflow of soulless cashgrabs and low quality slop.
The execution? A surprisingly original idea (which stays within the mascot horror trope of "childhood thing turned evil") that's presented in a gorgeous art style with hilarious commentary and engaging gameplay.
the game itself? essentially a shitpost.

Pretty good game! Only problem I have is with the sensitivity as it's a bitt high. Other than that though, can't wait to see how the rest of the game goes!
Cool game but could you at least add something scary? Like a chase scene? And it would be nice with a pause menu. I also got softlocked in that minigame were you get that 69 paper
This is an alpha build released purely as a proof of concept. Bugs and missing features are to be expected. Full release for chapter 1 planned within the next month

Will it cost money?
There will be a free release on Itch, however I am planning on releasing on Steam, which will need to be at least a buck or two to cover the upload cost
So the free release will be a demo and the steam version will cost money and will also be the full version?
They will be both the full release, however, future chapters will only be released on Steam
i like it and i cant wait tell the full game comes out and some thing i do see with it some lvls was not explain what to do, but i do like the art style, I'm also a game dev and i made a mascot horror game right now I'm remake the whole game did not tell my fans thought yet your game will be great and thx for all your work keep it going. >-< and if u like you can see my game like a said im remaking right now thx thought i hope fully get to see your full game when u get it done.
Thanks for the feedback! I've been creating the game alongside devlogs on my YouTube channel, so I created the demo with that in mind. It completely slipped my mind to add a tutorial for people without that external knowledge. By the time the full release drops, I'll be sure to make it much more clear what you're supposed to do.

As for making a mascot horror, I'm not going to pretend like I'm an expert, but from all of the mascot horror games that I've played in research for my own, I can safely say that the best ones are the most original. I say your priority should be making a good horror game first, and making a mascot horror game second, if that makes sense.
